9.5.07

Good news!  Maddy’s mom says we can return to the Y on Thursday night!  All classes for this Thursday are hereby de-canceled … un-canceled … DIS-canceled … you know what I mean!

9.4.07

Maddy has been drawing a comic series about the dojo for some time.  There have been a few complications with regard to the internet and she’s re-launched her page.  I’m particularly taken with the one in which we kidnap Brendon and torture him to improve his class attendance.  Here’s the link: http://www.freewebs.com/barefootbunny1515/

8.27.07

Due to construction and clean up at the NW YMCA there will be no classes 8/27 – 9/7.  We will announce a few alternative class times and locations during this period.

7.30.07

Congratulations to the Zoet’s!  Tom, Adam and Jordan passed their last Brown Belt tests and have already begun training as Black Belts.  We’re very proud and happy for them.  The Zoet’s have been training with Full Circle for eight years and have come to epitomize our dojo ethic.  There are a couple of pictures from the kicks portion of the test on the Photo Gallery page and you can read their essay papers in the articles section.

Speaking of articles, there is a new article from the Monk of Brooklyn, Antonio Graceffo.  This time he’s studying Cambodian Bokator Elbow Strikes.

We’ve finally gotten around to putting up a new calendar for the months of August, Sept and Oct.

The second weekend in August is the Jodoryu Jujitsu training in Madison, Wis.  All are welcome to attend.  Simply contact the dojo and we’ll get a flyer to you.  Three of us from the dojo are planning to go already.  There are only a couple of weeks to go … so get your registration in asap!

3.06.07

CALL THE KIDS, WAKE GRAMPA … THERE’S A NEW CAPTION CONTEST PICTURE !!!!!

3.01.07

It is said that you are known by the company you keep.  Here’s an example of the company Martial Arts Explorer keeps.

**IMPORTANT!** Classes for this evening are cancelled due to weather.  **IMPORTANT!**

1.11.07

The dates for the Kyusho Jitsu Kenkyukai Annual Gathering in Madison, WI have been announced.  They are April 13th, 14th and 15th.  There is even a new location … Master Glenn Ristine tells me we’ll be at a Holiday Inn with a water park!  The good folks at the Holiday Inn have also offered some very attractive room rates.  Start planning today!

OK, ok … Happy New Year!  There is a new offering in the ARTICLES section.  The author is from Brooklyn but lives and trains in Asia.  You’ll find it very interesting.

12.28.06

There is a new Martial Arts Explorer … tell all your friends.  There’s also a new caption contest and a new offering in the ARTICLES section.

A belated Christmahannakwanzaadan greeting to all and a wish for a happy and prosperous new year.

12.21.06 ** IMPORTANT ** NO CLASSES TONIGHT DUE TO WEATHER !

12.20.06

There is a new “CAPTION CONTEST” picture … ready, set … go!

The calendar has been corrected.  This was a test … and everybody failed.  No one noticed that December had only 30 days … putting New Years Day on Sunday instead of Monday.  We’re very disappointed, of course.  Please turn in your belts.

Kidding.  We’re kidders.  We kid a lot.  Get used to it.

12.19.06

Lots of news today; the cat is officially out of the bag, Martial Arts Explorer’s first advertiser is the DVD release of the movie ‘The Promise’.  This movie makes a great gift!  Maybe the best ever!  Buy 10.  NOW!

There is a new offering in the ARTICLES section.

Last call for the current “CAPTION CONTEST” … so far the caption from ‘Anonymous’ is the leading contender.  Make your creative voice heard!

12.14.06

Martial Arts Explorer has its first advertiser!  Can’t say much here, but it’s for the DVD release of a movie  nominated for a Golden Globe Award as best foreign language film.  You’ll see it in the next Martial Arts Explorer show … which will upload just as soon as they get one last piece of video to us.

12.13.06

A note regarding the dojo mat from Maddy;  Maddy, please thank your mom on behalf of the dojo, we REALLY, REALLY appreciate everything she has done.  Everyone else take note; we need to support the people who support us.

There is going to be new carpet in the dojo! It will be installed in January or early February.

By the way, mumsy says, "EVERYONE SHOULD BUY BOOKS AT THE BOOK FAIR FOR THE NICE LADY WHO SCREAMED AND YELLED AND BEGGED THE UPPER MANAGEMENTS EARS OFF FOR THE NEW CARPET THAT IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED SOONISH!!!" Or at least she would really, really, really, really, really appreciate it! If the karate peoples do not have a kid that they need to buy for, you can always buy a book then donate it! Tons of fun! She has a group of under privileged 1st graders that she’s collecting books for. For an extra guilt trip she has a very bad cold. Poor mumsy. Now in no way can you deny buying a book from her book fair(Which is conveniently located in the school age kidstuff room on the main level. It is the first door on the left when you walk in to the dojo.)

12.09.06

Finally, we are beginning a site re-design.  Please let us know about any dead links … NOT including the Caption Contest!

12.08.06

The sadness will leave your heart, the darkness will fall from your eyes and puppies will begin following you around, nipping at your pants cuffs!

THERE IS A NEW CAPTION CONTEST !!!!!  OH, HAPPY DAY !!!

Oh yeah, we’ve updated the calendar too.
